My Biohacked Morning

Because even if you don’t like mornings… you can still win them.

I’m not a morning person. Never have been. If hitting snooze were an Olympic sport, I’d have a gold medal. Over time, I realized that how I start my morning shapes everything that follows – my focus, my energy, and even my patience level (especially before coffee).

So, I stopped trying to love mornings and started learning how to hack them. Here’s what my ideal biohacking morning looks like.

It Starts the Night Before

The trick to winning your morning? Start the night before. I stop eating around 7 p.m. to give my body time to rest and digest. When I sleep, I wear a sleep mask (to block light) and a small piece of mouth tape to encourage nasal breathing. Yes, it sounds strange, but it works. It helps you move through the proper sleep cycles for deeper, higher-quality rest.

Hydration

After (hopefully) eight hours of sleep, I drink a glass of water with Celtic salt first thing. It’s rich in electrolytes and, oddly enough, makes you want to drink more water throughout the day. Small habit, big win.

The Cold Plunge

Next is a cold plunge for 3–5 minutes. For women, the sweet spot is around 10–15°C. Yes, it’s freezing. No, it never feels normal. However, the dopamine hit that follows is like a caffeine surge, and it builds mental resilience that spills over into everything else you do.

Strength Traning

Once I’ve thawed out, I do 15–20 minutes of strength training. I like MadFit workouts on YouTube. They are quick, easy, and done before I can talk myself out of it.

Fun fact: muscle isn’t just for aesthetics. It’s one of the best longevity hacks out there. Strong body, strong mind.

Sauna, Red Light & Recharge

Then comes my infrared sauna blanket, about 30 minutes of deep heat. It’s where everything I’ve done up to this point comes together. It reduces inflammation, boosts circulation, and acts like gentle cardio.

Sometimes I add my red-light mask and meditate. It’s my reset button before the day really begins.

Protein & PEMF

To finish, I always break my fast with protein (even if it’s a hard-boiled egg). Then I lay on my PEMF mat (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field). Think of it as a subtle cellular recharge. It’s my version of plugging in before powering through the day.

Biohacking isn’t about being perfect or waking up at 4 a.m. with a green smoothie in hand. It’s about creating habits that work for your body and mind, not against them.

I might not like mornings, but I love what this routine does for me. The clarity, focus, energy, and a sense of calm that carry into every client call, family moment, and decision I make. If you can fit this in twice a week, that’s perfect.
